Question 1

What is Legacy Domination?

Accepted Answer

Legacy Domination is the world's first phygital trading card game. Players use real physical trading cards representing historical events combined with a free digital companion app that handles all scoring, market mechanics, and random anomalies. Designed for 2–4 players aged 13 and up.

Question 2

How do you play Legacy Domination?

Accepted Answer

Each turn, draw a card, play it to boost one of your four dials — Culture, Diplomacy, Economy, or Technology — and use the free app to handle scoring, market purchases, and random anomalies. First to 40 on a single dial, 20 on all four, or the highest score when decks run out wins.

Question 3

Is Legacy Domination free to use?

Accepted Answer

The Companion App is 100% free — no subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases. Create a free account at legacydomination.com to access it instantly on any device. Physical cards are available now on Amazon — worldwide shipping.

Question 4

What kind of card game is Legacy Domination?

Accepted Answer

Legacy Domination is a phygital strategy trading card game based on real historical events. Unlike fantasy TCGs, every card represents a real moment in human history. Players build civilizations across four dials — Culture, Diplomacy, Economy, and Technology — and can win through three distinct victory conditions.

Question 5

What is a phygital trading card game?

Accepted Answer

A phygital game combines physical and digital elements. In Legacy Domination, you play real physical trading cards on the table while a free digital Companion App handles all game state, scoring, and market mechanics — eliminating math fatigue entirely. It is the first trading card game built on this model.

Question 6

Do I need the app to play Legacy Domination?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Legacy Domination Companion App is the engine that runs the game. It is 100% free — you can access it right now by signing up or logging in to this website. Once you create your free account, you have immediate access to the full Companion App with no download required. It handles all scorekeeping, milestone unlocks, and the digital App Market.

Question 7

Is Legacy Domination pay-to-win?

Accepted Answer

No. Card rarity has zero effect on mechanical strength. A Common card can be just as powerful as a Legendary. Rarity is purely for collectors who want physical prestige.

Question 8

Who is Legacy Domination designed for?

Accepted Answer

Legacy Domination is designed for anyone aged 13 and above who enjoys real-world history, strategy, and premium collectibles. While the rules are accessible to teenagers, the game's depth, themes, and collector appeal resonate most strongly with adults who want a hobby that means something beyond the table.

Question 9

Can I play solo or does it require multiple players?

Accepted Answer

Legacy Domination is designed as a 2–4 player competitive game and requires at least two players. Games run 20–40 minutes per session, making it easy to fit into any evening.

Question 10

What happens if I lose my physical cards?

Accepted Answer

The Companion App tracks your digital game progress, but physical cards are required to play. Lost or damaged cards can be replaced by purchasing additional booster packs. The secondary market for Legacy Domination cards is fully open — players can trade and sell freely.

Question 11

Is there a subscription fee for the Companion App?

Accepted Answer

No. The Companion App is completely free to download and use on iOS and Android. There is no subscription, no in-app advertising, and no required purchases inside the app. Physical cards are available now on Amazon — worldwide shipping.

Question 12

Does Legacy Domination use AI-generated art?

Accepted Answer

Yes — transparently. The card illustrations are AI-generated (some based on real archival references, some creative interpretations), while every historical moment is personally researched and curated, and the game design, card layouts, and companion app are all human-made by the founder. Commissioned human artwork for premium and promo cards is on the roadmap. Read the full breakdown on our Story page.

Question 13

How much do the Core Starter Box and Booster Packs cost?

Accepted Answer

During the launch sale, the Core Starter Box is $14.95 (regular price $19.95) and Booster Packs are $6.95 (regular price $9.95), sold on Amazon with worldwide shipping. The Legacy Founders Edition collectible is $9.95. The Companion App is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Question 14

Can I practice before playing other people?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Practice against the Legacy Bot anytime in the free Companion App. It's the fastest way to learn the cards and the three ways to win.

Question 15

Can I play with friends who aren't in the same room?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Play online with 2–4 players, each on their own phone. The app handles every turn, score and effect.

Question 16

Can I play with the physical cards at the table?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sit down with your physical cards, and the Companion App tracks scores, the market and random events, so there are no tokens and no manual math.

Question 17

How do ranked matches work?

Accepted Answer

Ranked matches are online matches against other players, played with a deck built entirely from cards you own — 40 of your own cards unlock ranked play. Wins earn rating points and losses cost them, and your rating places you on the world leaderboard. Casual and practice matches don't affect your rating.

Question 18

How do I build my digital collection?

Accepted Answer

Scan the code on each physical card with the Companion App to add it to your collection. Every card you own in real life becomes playable in the app.
